Evidence required. Mileage correction is carried out on a basis of legitimacy only. We ask for evidence of the mileage you are requesting, such as the old cluster or module, MOT history, service records or a replacement-part invoice, before any work is done. No evidence, no change. We won't wind a clock back for a sale. Ever.
When it's needed
- Replacement or used instrument cluster showing the donor car's mileage
- Cluster repair that has reset or corrupted the reading
- Mileage stored in multiple modules that no longer match
How it works
Correcting the mileage up to match the car's true figure is straightforward. Any request to bring mileage down needs clear evidence of the real figure, such as the original cluster, MOT history, service history or invoices, as strict as the proof we ask for on a lost key. If the evidence doesn't support it, we won't do it.
It's illegal to sell a car with a reading you know is wrong without declaring it. We don't do immoral or fraudulent work, and that's not changing.
