Why an airbag module needs resetting
When a car is involved in a crash, the SRS (airbag) control module records hard crash data. That data can't be cleared with an ordinary diagnostic tool, so the airbag light stays on and the system stays disabled, even after the airbags and pretensioners have been replaced.
Rather than buying a new module from the dealer, the original can be virginised: the crash data is removed and the correct coding data for your car is written back, so it goes straight back in and works.
What's included

Important
A module reset doesn't replace deployed airbags, seatbelt pretensioners or damaged wiring. Those must be renewed for the system to protect you. If the airbag light stays on after the reset, we'll diagnose why.
Questions people ask
How much is an airbag module reset?
From £30. Most modules are done in about 20 minutes.
Can I post my airbag module?
Yes, mail-in is accepted with a same-day turnaround. Call first to confirm your module is supported.
Will the airbag light go off?
Once the module is reset and the deployed parts are replaced, the light should go off. If it doesn't, we'll diagnose the remaining fault.
